Wilmington, DE, January 7, 2005 -- Corporation Service Company® (CSC), the leading registered agent and provider of corporate governance, compliance, UCC, litigation management and IP services, today announced that it has received the Delaware Quality Merit Award. Governor Ruth Ann Minner of Delaware will officially announce the award this afternoon at a ceremony on the University of Delaware campus in Newark, Delaware.

The Governor issued a statement saying, “I commend and congratulate each of the winners for their dedication and commitment to excellence in their organizations.”

“We are gratified and honored by this distinction and by the Governor’s announcement,” said Bruce R. Winn, President and Chief Executive Officer of CSC. “Qualifying for this award not only evidences the hard work and excellent customer service our employees render on a daily basis, but more significantly points out their effectiveness in the competitive and powerful Delaware business environment.”

The criteria for which CSC will be specially recognized include “Customer Focus,” “Leadership” and “Knowledge Management,” three key areas of emphasis for CSC.

“Within just the last few months CSC has received a number of significant accolades that demonstrate why 21 of the 23 Fortune 500* Companies that switched registered agent in the past year chose CSC,” said Jennifer A. Kenton, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CSC. “Our Web site, IncSpot.com, was ranked one of the best legal sites on the Web; we were awarded Gold Level sponsorship by the Association of Corporate Counsel; and now this distinct honor recognizing overall company efficiency and effectiveness for our clients. These organizations all see our value.”

“Human Resources” was also an area of the Company recognized as superior. CSC Vice President of Operations and Human Resources, Jackie Smetana, said, “Our founders, who were instrumental in the drafting the Delaware Corporation Law, would be proud.”
